We're used to seeing sales from Icelandair, the affordable yet popular carrier that flies travelers straight to Reykjavik (KEF) and onward throughout Europe, but this one is special. It includes travel dates between Feb. 1 and May 15 – a four-and-a-half-month timeframe – and also applies to Icelandair's comfortable Saga Premium Business Class seats. And it's available from more than a dozen North American cities with nonstop Icelandair service, too!
Many dates have already sold out at these rock-bottom prices, but you can still book a good deal before this sale ends next Monday, Jan. 22!
So let's dig into this Icelandair sale and why it might be worth booking these flights if you're traveling to Iceland or Europe this winter or spring.

How to Book: Finding these rock-bottom prices will take some trial and error. When using Google Flights to search, you may not immediately see the low prices in the calendar view. Once you select your dates, you should see the price drop and then you can use Icelandair's sale page to input your dates and city pairs to book directly with the airline. Search for roundtrip flights to get the lowest fares.
Icelandair Saga Premium Business Class
When this sale was announced, something huge jumped out at us: Extremely cheap availability flying Icelandair Saga Premium business class.
To be clear, Saga seats are not your traditional lie-flat business class, but it's still an excellent way to fly to Iceland or Europe. I flew these seats myself in 2022 and found them to be extremely comfortable, with all the bells and whistles of a business class experience – just in a standard (yet plush) reclining seat instead. Saga fares come with business class-quality meals and drinks, access to the fancy Saga Lounge at Keflavík airport, an amenity kit, champagne, and even a gin tasting menu!

These seats go for between $2,000 and $3,000 roundtrip to Iceland or Europe, but Icelandair slashed those prices in half for this sale. As soon as we saw the fares, we rounded them up and sent them to our Thrifty Traveler Premium members.

This was the flight deal members received in their inboxes, and it included all the details they may need to make a journey in these seats possible.
The lowest fares were flying roundtrip, nonstop to Iceland (KEF) this winter and spring. You could find fares all the way into May, which is an amazing time to visit Iceland.
We might be biased as a Twin Cities-based company, but this Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) fare really blew us away! And a few of these dirt-cheap fares are still out there.
For between $100 and $300 more roundtrip, you can book roundtrip fares to the rest of the European cities on the list, too. Of course, not every destination is available from every departure city – and some have since sold out – but it's worth taking a look between your desired city pairs to see if you can snag one of these awesome business class fares.
This amazing value isn't without its quirks, though. For some reason, many of these fares don't immediately appear in Google Flights when you search. Instead, you'll see these roundtrips pricing out at $2,000 or more.
But once you select your return flight and go to the screen with booking options, you should see the sale pricing applied. It will take some trial and error to find the lowest fares, but it's worth the savings of more than $1,000 roundtrip!
As with all Icelandair fares, they're eligible for the airline's easy-to-use stopover program. That means you can tack on a few days in Iceland at the beginning or end of your trip and see two countries for the price of one! Saga fares are eligible for up to seven-day stopovers at no extra charge in most cases. Book a stopover on the return from Europe instead of on your way there to get the best fares, typically.

Economy Fares to Iceland (& Beyond) From $325 RT
If you don't need all the bells and whistles of business class, this Icelandair sale can also get you to and from Europe for some dirt-cheap prices.
Icelandair also offers free stopovers on economy tickets, too, allowing you to add up to three nights in Iceland on your way to or from Europe (although building your stopover into your return flights typically offer the cheapest fares.)
From Oslo (OSL) to London-Heathrow (LHR) and everywhere in between, you can find some fantastically low fares to Europe with this sale, depending on your departure city. My recommendation: Use the Google Flights Explore map, filter for Icelandair flights, and select “flexible dates” on the calendar. Then, punch in your departure city and scour the map of Europe to see where the best rates are from your home airport!

I'll give you a cheat sheet here if you don't want to do all that exploring. The very best value on this deal is flying nonstop to Iceland (KEF). When we saw these fares drop into the $300s, we sent an alert to our Thrifty Traveler Premium members immediately.
If you know someone who's been talking about going to Iceland for years, send them this article! They're running out of excuses with fares dropping this low.
From some cities like Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), and Raleigh (RDU), these prices are all near historic lows.
It will cost you less to fly to Reykjavik (KEF) from some of these cities than it will to fly to the West Coast this winter and spring!
Keep in mind, though: The cheapest fares are for Icelandair's “Economy Light” which includes a carry-on bag, but you have to pay extra to select your seats. You can upgrade to “Economy Standard” to get a free checked bag and free seat assignment.

This Icelandair sale could be your ticket to Iceland or elsewhere in Europe in 2024 – in either business class or economy.
You can use this sale to book a dirt-cheap trip (or half-off fares in cushy business class seats) to Iceland and beyond all the way through mid-May. But don't wait much longer: Many of the cheapest fares have already been gobbled up, and this sale ends next Monday, Jan. 22!
