Having CLEAR can get you through airport security faster, but unlike TSA PreCheck, it isn't available at every airport. Yet you'll increasingly find these kiosks at airports big and small across the country.
CLEAR is now available at more than 55 airports across the U.S. This privately-run trusted traveler program has added more than a dozen airports to its roster in the last two years, allowing travelers to use fingerprints or iris scans to confirm their identity and cut to the front of either the standard or TSA PreCheck security line at the airport.
You'll mainly find CLEAR kiosks at major Delta and United hubs like Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Newark (EWR), and Chicago-O'Hare (ORD). But CLEAR has increasingly looked to secondary hubs and even smaller regional airports. Here's a quick look at the latest airports to launch CLEAR service.

CLEAR is rapidly expanding its footprint to include more airports – and more travelers are using these dedicated lanes, too. But compared to the 200 U.S. airports offering TSA PreCheck, it still has a long way to go before becoming a mainstay for travelers.
TSA PreCheck vs Clear: Which one is better?
It may seem odd that CLEAR would add smaller airports like Hartford (BDL) when it still lacks a presence at large airports like Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), and Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), among others. There's a simple explanation for that.
CLEAR has partnered with both Delta and United, and both airlines have spearheaded expansions to their hubs and other important airports. But American Airlines has resisted pairing up with CLEAR, leading the program to turn its attention to smaller airports rather than expand into American hubs like Dallas and Charlotte.

After a recent price increase, annual membership in the CLEAR program is $189 a year. There's no denying that's a steep price to pay – and for many travelers, it doesn't make sense, especially since CLEAR services aren't widely available.
There are some ways to bring the CLEAR price down, most notably if you hold *amex platinum* or the American Express® Green Card which both offer credits of up to $189 to cover the entire cost. You'll also get a discount just for having a free Delta SkyMiles or United MileagePlus account, though that will only get you $10 off a year after a recent change.
Having status or a co-branded card from either United or Delta can bring the price down to $149 a year.

Bottom Line
It's not everywhere yet – not even close – but CLEAR now has a presence in more than 55 airports across the continental U.S. and even Puerto Rico.
While CLEAR is starting to add smaller airports to its roster, there are still many major airports in the U.S. without CLEAR kiosks. And there's no guarantee that changes anytime soon.
Is there anyway to know which airports CLEAR will be coming to in the future, or do I have to just wait?
Unfortunately, no. CLEAR doesn’t announce its future locations in advance.
Since they built a new airport in 2019, there is no concourse D at the New Orleans airport. It is now one large security checkpoint.
You can enter Clear either alone or combined with TSA precheck.
I have both which is the fastest way through.
The Hilton Aspire from American Express also now covers the $189 CLEAR + fee. If you have a cobranded card from Delta or United, you can get the fee down to $149 as stated in the article,, but you don’t have to use those cards to pay. Simply link your United or Delta SkyMiles account, and CLEAR will automatically detect if you have a co-branded credit card linked to those loyalty programs . Then, can use your platinum card, green card or aspire card to pay the $149 and still have half the fee for adding a family member covered. Very helpful now that CLEAR raised the price for adding a member from $60 a year to $99 a year.
