Got a stash of Hilton Honors points, Hilton free night award certificates from credit cards like the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, or both? Here's your chance to book a tropical getaway at one of Hilton's most sought-after (and hardest-to-book) properties in the South Pacific – including this winter!
It doesn't get much dreamier than a trip to Bora Bora, but booking the excellent Conrad Bora Bora Nui with points is tough because the property can be incredibly stingy with award availability. But that changed, as the resort opened up tons of award availability from January through May 2024 – and again all the way out in early December. It's the best award availability we've seen at the property in many, many months.
This means you can book the Conrad in Bora Bora for a trip later this month, through the winter, or before Christmas 2024 for 120,000 Hilton points per night. While that may not sound cheap, that's as good as it gets with a high-end property like this – you're far more likely to see 500,000 points or more.
Critically, that price point means you can also use a Hilton free night certificate … and this pricey property is a phenomenal way to use one, especially since it can be used any day of the week (so long as there is standard room award availability at 120,000 points).
Plus, anyone with Hilton Honors Silver Status or higher can book five nights and only pay for four thanks to Hilton's fifth night free on award bookings. That means a five-night stay would cost you 480,000 Hilton Honors points, or 96,000 points per night. Tack on a free night certificate, and you could cover nearly a week at the Conrad in Bora Bora.
Thrifty Tip: Got *amex platinum card*? That comes with complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status, which unlocks a fifth night free on award stays plus free breakfast – a huge money-saver at this property!
You can also transfer Amex points to Hilton from cards like the *amex gold*. While we'd rarely recommend transferring points to Hilton instead of airline programs where you get far more value, it could be worth it to book this pricey property – especially if you just need to top off your account for the last few thousand points or so.
Here's everything you need to know if a bucket-list trip to Bora Bora using Hilton points sounds up your alley.
How to Book the Conrad Bora Bora Nui
- You can now find standard room award availability at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui almost every day from January through May 2024 (aside from March) and again in early December, as of publication
- That means you can book free nights for 120,000 Hilton Honors points or apply free night certificates earned from certain Hilton credit cards.
- If you have Hilton Honors Silver status (or higher), you can book five consecutive nights and only pay for four – a 20% savings per night.
- Hilton Gold and Diamond status members will get free breakfast at the property during their stay.
Thrifty Tip: The Conrad Bora Bora Nui charges roughly $135 per person for a boat transfer from the Bora Bora (BOB) airport to the resort. Use one of the twice-a-year, $200 resort credits on the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card to pay for it. Or charge it to a Capital One card like the *venture x* and use your miles to cover the cost!
Current Conrad Bora Bora Award Availability
As of publication, standard room award availability at this Conrad property in Bora Bora is wide open through May 2024, aside from in March where there are only a few dates. Scan through the calendar (make sure you select “my dates are flexible” when entering your dates at Hilton.com) and you'll have your pick of the litter.
You'll want to book ASAP if you're interested. Here's a look at what was available at the last check. Dates pricing out at 120,000 points are what you are looking for.
While the rest of the year gets tough to string together more than a night or two, the calendar opens up again in December.
How to Search for Hilton Award Availability
To find dates with standard room award availability at 120,000 points, the easiest way is to search with the calendar view. Luckily, there is a way to quickly pull up a calendar view that will show you all the nights with standard room award availability.
Just head to Hilton.com and start searching for the Conrad Bora Bora Nui. But when you go to select a date, enter just a one-night stay – and be sure to enter “My Dates are Flexible.” Then, click the “Special Rates” tab and be sure to select the “Use Points” option.
From here, you'll see a calendar view. So long as you have the “Use Points & Money” box checked, it will display award rates for every day each month.
What You Get at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui
In short? One of the best properties in the world you can book with Hilton points.
Bora Bora is straight-up bucket list material. And while we haven't personally stayed at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui (at least not yet – I'm heading there next month to check it out for myself), it regularly gets rave reviews for top-notch service, excellent dining, and beautiful rooms in a picture-book setting.
Booking with Hilton points or a free night certificate, you won't get one of the iconic overwater villas, you'll snag a King Lagoon View Suite instead. But, it's not like the Conrad is shortchanging you here: These 1,000-square-foot suites regularly sell for north of $2,000 a night!
If you've got top-tier Hilton Diamond status (which comes automatically with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card) or you're willing to splurge a bit more before check-in, you might be able to snag an upgrade to one of several overwater villas on the property. While the Maldives may have cornered the market for these overwater villas, Bora Bora does them right, too.
Bottom Line
You don't see this very often.
There's currently wide-open award availability to use Hilton Honors points (or a free night certificate) for a stay at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui from January through May 2024, and again in December to close out the year. This is one of the hardest high-end Hilton properties to book with points, so act fast – odds are this will disappear soon.
