And then there were three – Capital One airport lounges, that is.
The long-awaited Capital One Lounge in Denver (DEN) is set to open its doors tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 3, the bank confirmed after hosting an event with local media. The 10,800-square-foot space is located in Concourse A of the Denver airport, sporting many of the same amenities and inviting design that have made Capital One lounges fan-favorites among travelers – plus some unique features and quintessentially Coloradan touches.
The lounge is open daily from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. during an initial “soft open” phase through Nov. 12, a spokesperson confirmed. After that, the Denver Capital One Lounge will be open from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. every day.

The Denver lounge is located just up the escalators near Gate 34 in Concourse A, which is home to American, Delta, Frontier, and a handful of other, smaller airlines. But all the Denver concourses are connected by tram, so anyone should be able to easily get there.
It's a long overdue yet welcome addition for travelers flying out of (or connecting through) Denver with the *venture x*. The bank's premium travel rewards card comes with free access to its branded lounges, among many other perks that make its $395 annual fee fairly easy to stomach.
It comes almost exactly two years to the day since the Capital One Lounge in Dallas opened its doors in November 2021. While Denver and another location in Washington, D.C.-Dulles (IAD) were originally slated to open sometime in 2022, both locations were repeatedly pushed back due to construction delays. The Capital One Dulles Lounge finally opened in early September.
From the seating to the color palette to the decor,
Capital One says its newest Denver location will host many of the same features as its prior outposts: grab-and-go food displays, snack and beverage stations scattered throughout the space, luggage lockers, a relaxation room, six private restrooms, and two shower suites. Outlets at every seat for charging your devices and free, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the lounge are a given.
There's a clear focal point: The entire lounge is built around a massive bar with seating wrapped all the way around it, where travelers can sip on specifically selected Colorado craft brews and hand-mixed cocktails.
Capital One's food and drinks in both Dallas and Dulles put most other lounges to shame, but the bank is also doing something completely new in Denver. There are three private work rooms and two phone booths available for travelers to use. Private workspaces must be reserved, but phone booths are available on a first come, first served basis.
While the *venture x*Â (and the *venture x business* for small business owners) are the best ways to get into Capital One lounges, they're not the only options:

- *venture x business* primary cardholders enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Lounges, plus complimentary entry for two guests per visit — and special pricing of $45 per visit for additional guests.
- *capital one venture card* cardholders receive two complimentary visits to Capital One Lounges — or Plaza Premium Lounges — annually. These complimentary visits may be used for themselves, their authorized users or account managers, or guests who are traveling with them. Additional visits can be purchased for a discounted rate of $45.
- *capital one spark miles for business* cardholders receive two complimentary visits to Capital One Lounges — or Plaza Premium Lounges — annually. These complimentary visits may be used for themselves, their authorized users or account managers, or guests who are traveling with them. Additional visits can be purchased for a discounted rate of $45.
To get into the new Capital One lounge, you must be flying that day or connecting through Denver. Travelers can only get in starting three hours before their flight.
While their rollout has been slower than many Capital One cardholders have liked, the bank broke the mold with these lounges, giving longstanding Amex Centurion Lounges and new Chase Sapphire Lounges a serious run for their money as all three banks try to win over more travelers. And more Capital One Lounges are on the way.
The bank has targeted Las Vegas (LAS) for its next location, though there's no timeline for a Sin City lounge opening. Capital One is also working on a new concept called Capital One Landings in both New York City-LaGuardia (LGA) and Washington, D.C.-Reagan (DCA) – more sit-down restaurants than full-blown lounges. Neither location has an opening date.
Bottom Line
Better late than never, right?
Almost exactly two years since its first lounge opened to rave reviews, Capital One will finally get its third lounge as the long-awaited Denver location opens its doors on Friday, Nov. 3. Based on what we've seen in Dallas and Washington, D.C., travelers departing from (or connecting through) Denver should be in for a treat.
